An AC motor can be an electric motor driven by an alternating electric current (AC). The AC motor commonly contains two basic parts, another stator having coils given alternating current to produce a rotating magnetic field, and an internal rotor mounted on the output shaft making a second rotating magnetic field. The rotor magnetic field could be produced by long lasting magnets, reluctance saliency, or DC or AC electric windings.
